2007 Raft-Up/Anchor Out Weekends |
Join the Squadron for one or more of the following weekends!
| In keeping with Squadron tradition of the last three years we announce the Squadron's Raft-up/ anchor out weekends. The outings over the last three years have been well attended and provided ample fellowship and fun on the Chesapeake Bay. This years schedule of gatherings is tentatively set and dates will be posted soon. |

The anchor-out/raft-up gatherings are all "very informal" and usually dependent on good weather. There really is no set time, just a common destination. Squadron members arrive after lunch and throughout the afternoon. Some boat owners raft togther and others anchor nearby. Visits among boats are usually done by dingy or kayak. Many times at past anchor out weekends someone has volunteered their boat for an impromptu gathering and those attending bring their own drinks and a snack to share. Most of the members fly the Squadron Burgee which makes identification easier. The attendance can vary anywhere from four to fourteen boats, etc. It is allows a very laid back happening in a pretty anchorage area. Hope to see you there! John Gephart |
